Nea Clark, author of 'Journey into the ADHD Mind: Strategies for working with ADHD ' clients has developed a series of workshops on the theme. Taking place from February through to May 2025, the online workshops offer a perspective on how we can account for neurodiversity in the therapy space. Treatment Planning for Clients with ADHD
18 February 2025 6 - 8pm (UK time)

Using the ADHD Treatment Pyramid, Nea will be exploring how we can account for these different factors within our established treatment planning. Those attending the workshop will:
Better understand the different neurodivergent elements to be included in the treatment plan
Be able to take away and create their own unique idea of how you want to work with neurodivergent clients.
Managing the Sensory Overwhelm

For neurodivergent clients, heightened or diminished sensitivity can lead to sensory overwhelm or under-stimulation, impacting daily functioning, communication and emotional regulation. Learn to identify sensory triggers and their effects, such as overstimulation from loud environments or discomfort due to certain textures. Explore how sensory differences influence behaviour, reactions, and overall well-being.
Unveiling Masking
29 April 2025 6 - 8pm (UK time)

The term 'Masking' refers to the conscious or unconscious effort to suppress or hide traits, behaviour, or expressions to conform to societal norms.
This workshop explores the phenomenon of masking among neurodivergent individuals, particularly those with ADHD and how we, as therapists and supervisors, can support them.
Procrastination Through the ADHD Lens: Understanding and Navigating the Struggle
20 May 2025 6 - 8pm (UK time)

We will be exploring procrastination from a The new perspective; examining the different symptoms and their origins. We will be looking at potential roots causes of procrastination and building support systems into treatment plans.
